Lester Raines, the owner of our Charleston, WV Mazda dealership, is also a longtime assistant coach for the West Virginia State University men's basketball team. He enjoys mentoring young men and coaching basketball just as much as he loves helping West Virginia drivers. A lifelong resident of Charleston, WV, Lester Raines owns multiple dealerships in Southern West Virginia. Lester Raines is a lifelong Charleston, West Virginia resident, graduating from Charleston High School, 1973 attending West Virginia University and receiving a Doctor of Dental Degree, 1981. His total involvement in the whole process of buying and servicing your vehicle is considered a game changer in this industry.Â

Lester Raines is a long time Kanawha Valley athletic booster and sponsor. He is in the Hall of Fame of the University of Charleston and West Virginia State University, being an assistant in Men's Basketball for 28 years. Community contributions, his name shows up consistently.

As an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at West Virginia State University, Lester is known for his incredible leadership and passion for mentoring. Serving as an assistant under both Jason Gee and Greg White at the University of Charleston for 14 years, Lester Raines brings his love of basketball and success to WVSU Men's Basketball.
